After receiving their equipment from Cham’s Blacksmith Shop, the party left Port Gardan and headed towards the Orman Woods.

They reached the woods around midday. Before they ventured further, Gentil did a preliminary check. He realized that he would be able to track the people who took the Blade rather easily, without needing much help from Portnoy’s blood tracking.

Bilty readied his weapons, Portnoy readied his Ray of Frost.

They also had a strategy meeting. They decided that Aurelia and Gentil would be the vanguard and Kowboi would protect Portnoy. Bilty would be the wildcard, following them very close.

They enter the forest. It’s darker than outside as the canopy blocks out the sun. It’s calm and cool.

Some 30-40 minutes in, Sareena’s knife makes its entrance. Gentil grabs that knife before Sareena materializes out of nowhere.

They chat, but the conversation doesn’t really go anywhere. Sareena seems bent on making sure that she follows the orders of her employers.

A fight ensues. Sareena and her four Knife Ears versus the Party.

Gentil casts Divine Favor on himself. Then, he attacks Sareena, but misses.

Bandit 3 attacks Aurelia, but misses.

Bandit 1 attacks Kowboi, but misses.

Bilty tries to move away. This triggers an Attack of Opportunity for Bandit 2, who misses. Bilty then vanishes.

Sareena attacks Gentil, but misses.

Aurelia tries to move away. This triggers an Attack of Opportunity for Bandit 3, who hits Aurelia for 10 HP.

Kowboi tries to attack Bandit 1, however critically misses. His bow backfires and hits him in the face for 1 HP.

Bandit 4 tries to attack Portnoy, but misses.

Bandit 2 attacks Kowboi for 3 HP.

Portnoy casts Ray of Frost at Bandit 4 and hits for 6 HP.

Gentil tries to attack Sareena, but misses.

Bandit 3 attacks Aurelia for 4 HP.

Bandit 1 attacks Kowboi for 2 HP.

Bilty makes a sneaky attack against Bandit 1 and hits for 12 HP. The arrow goes through Bandit 1’s head, killing him instantly.

Sareena attacks Gentil, but misses.

Aurelia attacks Sareena and hits a critical for 8 HP. Sareena is beheaded.

Kowboi attacks Bandit 2, but misses.

Bandit 4 attacks Portnoy, but misses.

Bandit 2 attacks Kowboi, but misses.

Portnoy casts Acid Splash at Bandit 4, but misses.

Gentil attacks Bandit 3 and kills him. He slashes through his shoulder, almost cutting him in half. Blood splatters everywhere.

Bilty attacks Bandit 4 and kills him. It’s a headshot that pins the guy’s arm to his head.

Aurelia attacks bandit 2, but misses.

Kowboi attacks Bandit 2 for 10 HP.

Bandit 2 attacks Kowboi for 5 HP.

Portnoy casts Ray of Frost at Bandit 2 and kills him. He freezes the man solid and then crushes his head.

After the fight, Bilty loots some coins from Bandit 1, Portnoy loots a pair of Fancy Gloves from Bandit 4, and Kowboi loots a pair of Fancy Boots from Bandit 3.

Gentil casts Lay on Hands on Kowboi, healing him some.

After the fight they notice that Sareena’s body is missing. Gentil speculates that she was taken away by the Shadow.

They go through the Phantom Thread event. Gentil has it in his pocket now.

They also go through the Tree branch event. After some conversation, the tree manages to make Aurelia, Portnoy, and Kowboi swear that they will never, EVER hurt a tree ever again for the rest of their lives. Bilty lies.
